daw.com - December 10

WOW - did that week ever go by fast.  But a great week it was.  We even got to see the music classes perform last night and it was wonderful.  I also chaperoned the choir last Friday to the St. Regis light festival and it was a spectacular sight to see.  The students really do a great job.

Next week will end our latest math unit on adding and subtracting of fractions.  I plan on giving the final assessment on Tuesday.  We will start the new unit when we return after winter break.

Speaking of winter break, if anyone is planning on leaving early, please send me a quick email.  This is just for planning and organization.  I do wish everyone a wonderful and peaceful break.

Today the math and writing assessments will go home.  As I mentioned earlier, students did not do well on the math assessment and I have already taken steps to continue with this teaching and learning throughout the next several units.

Our annual winter fest is on Thursday.  Hopefully everyone us ready and looks like it will be quite a celebration of this past semester.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Friday is a half day so please expect your students home earlier than normal.  If they are picked up please be at the school by 11:30 to pick them up.  The cafeteria and other services are not open on this day.

Friday is the World Air Toss finals and while the two competing teams have not been determined, we will all attend to cheer them on.  This will happen right after the leavers ceremony.

That is is for this year.  Have a wonderful holiday and use the time to unwind and be at peace.
